Positive Options provides a range of specialist services to organisations in the education, social and health care sectors that support the organisation, its staff, and other carers in the course of their work with people.
Positive Options’ philosophy and training practices are based upon the principles of person-centred thinking, action and excellence. The Company, a subsidiary of the Crisis Prevention Institute, Inc., (CPI) is registered as a Limited Company in England and its founder directors and senior management team have extensive experience in working within, and latterly in partnership with the education, social and health care sectors.
Positive Options current portfolio includes the safe and effective management of challenging behaviour; aggression, and violence across the spectrum of care and education settings. This includes offering diagnostic support; theoretical and practical skills-based strategies and training that assist the care, education and support to people of all ages who may have a variety of complex health; social; psychological; emotional, and education needs. In addition to providing a range of behaviourally orientated education and training products, the Company is an accredited provider for the teaching of restrictive physical interventions in the management of actual or potential aggression through its MAPA® approach. Positive Options is currently one of a proportionately small number of training and education providers that are accredited in the UK by the British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD) under its Physical Interventions Accreditation Scheme (PIAS); was first accredited in 2004 and was most recently reaccredited in 2011.
