The service provides a recovery focused secure assessment and treatment pathway for men who have a learning disability who would benefit from the service more than they would if they were placed in mainstream mental health secure services.
The current average length of stay for patients at the medium secure unit is between 2 to 2 and a half years.
The underlying principle of our care and treatment package is to improve the individual’s function, working in a person centred way to build self esteem and confidence.
